  • Breathe naturally — no need to control it
  • Give your full attention to the word: say it gently, faithfully, and simply
  • Listen to the word as you repeat it — do not visualise anything
  • When thoughts, images, or other words arise (even “good” ones), don’t fight them — gently return to the mantra the moment you notice
  • Practise twice daily: morning and evening, 30 minutes each time or 3×20 minutes.
  • Use the same word every single time, day after day
